• During Fiscal Year (FY) 2020, the IRS collected close $iii.v trillion, processed more than 240 million taxation returns and other forms, and issued more than $736 billion in taxation refunds (including $268 billion in Economic Touch on Payments).
• In FY 2020, 59.5 meg taxpayers were assisted by calling or visiting an IRS office.
• IRS.gov received nearly 1.6 billion visits and taxpayers downloaded more than than 437 million files.
• Of the taxpayers who participated in the 2020 Comprehensive Taxpayer Attitude Survey (CTAS), 87 percent said it is not at all acceptable to cheat on their income taxes, and nigh all (94 per centum) believe it is a civic duty to pay their fair share of taxes.
